Since last three years, RRDP has
successfully laid the foundations of a vibrant and responsive
development organization by expanding its presence across 5 districts
of Balochistan. I am delighted to share that Rakhshan Rural Development
Program has been successful to contribute in improving the quality of
life of 0.03 million marginalized households. RRDP has contributed
significantly in obtaining six Millennium Development Goals (MDG)such as
eradicate extreme poverty, achieve universal primary education, promote
gender equity and women empowerment, reduce child mortality, improve
maternal health and ensure environmental sustainability. RRDP’s development philosophy and experience of two decades witnessed
that social mobilization is the most appropriate approach for
sustainable development that prepare grounds for all other development
initiatives. Therefore, 176 COs, 22 VOs and 5 LSOs were
institutionalized in 24 union councils of 5 districts in Balochistan.
It gives me energy and confidence that RRDP’s team is talented, hard
working, committed, dynamic and passionate to reduce the sufferings of
poor and marginalized communities.
